Abu Dhabi is a popular destination for shopping enthusiasts. It is soon going to be more inviting for shoppers, as the city is looking forward to a construction of an eco-friendly and unique mall in near future.
According to the announcement made by Majid Al Futtaim, they are building an eco-friendly mall in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi. The mall, when completed will be one of the world’s most sustainable urban developmental projects and will be named as "My City Centre Masdar City". As per the estimated schedule, the mall is to be opened by the end of next year and will have an easy access to public transport options like buses, light rail transit and metro.

As per the design of the mall, the parking area can accommodate around 430 vehicles; and will be covered with photovoltaic panels. The whole construction will consume 40 percent less electricity and water supply as compared to the other huge buildings. This makes the mall an innovation in the field of sustainable development.

On completion, the mall will have 60 outlets spread across 18,000 square metres. Along with the shopping outlets, it will have a Magic Planet - a family entertainment centre, a Carrefour hypermarket, a City Centre clinic for healthcare services and also some good dining options for shoppers.

The mall will thus be an innovative development as well as an interesting shopping destination for the travellers and residents in Abu Dhabi.
