The majestic Emirates Park Zoo lies in the Al Bahia region and is home to about 1700 animals, which includes a magnificent pair of white tigers, a Siberian bear, cheetahs, lions, zebras, etc. The zoo employs up to date facilities for the comfort of the wild animals, and one such example is the ‘misting system’ which keeps animals cool in the sweltering summer months. The Emirates Park Zoo is connected to the Emirates Park Resort, which provides Ac lodgings with balconies facing the zoo.

Established in the year 2007, the Sheikh Khalifa Park gives the much needed refreshing respite to the people in Abu Dhabi. The lush enclosed garden has many fountains and a huge play area for kids to play, while the parents can relax and enjoy. Located on the Mangrove Corniche, Al Salam Street, the park has a minimal entry fee.

This huge 900-hectare park is a place where about 4,000 animals live and flourish. Out of which 180 species are considered endangered. The Al Ain Zoo lies at the base of the Jebel Hafeet Mountains in Al Ain. The zoo features the almost extinct white lion along with Arabian antelopes, Oryx, eland, gazelle, lechwe, pumas, jaguars, black, leopards, etc. The zoo authorities have offered many interactive activities like camel riding and giraffe feeding to promote the welfare of the animals.

Located on the Sir Bani Yas Island natural reserve, the Arabian Wildlife Park is the abode of about 10,000 free animals. The park accommodates 1,400 hectares of land area where animals like Ostriches, Giraffes and Oryx roam freely in their natural habitat and gives a safari-like experience to the visitors. They also have various successful animal breeding programmes for conserving endangered animal species.

The Mangrove National Park in Abu Dhabi’s ecological gem. The national park is situated right next to the Abu Dhabi city centre, and makeup about 75% of the total mangrove forest area, which includes mangrove forests, mudflats, salt marshes, and algal communities. The mangrove park is a rare treat for the ecologists and is a great biodiversity spot which harbours different species of plants and wildlife such as crabs, herons and flamingos, etc.
